Fabrice Martinez

Fabrice Martinez feels at home no matter the music, whether it’s improvised, classic, modern or traditional. Fabrice quickly became a leader and a solist in various ensembles. As of today, he plays with Olivier Benoit’s Orchestre National de Jazz, Thomas de Pourquery’s Supersonic, Marc Ducret’s Seven Songs (Metatonal, Ayler Records), Daniel Humair’s New Quartet, the ArchiMusic ensemble (album Pensées pour Moi-même), Claude Tchamitchian’s Grand Lousadzak, Yves Rousseau’s and Christophe Marguet’s Spirit Dance, Mike Reed’s Chicago Suite, Fred Pallem & Le Sacre du Tympan, etc.

Fabrice Martinez played and recorded with numerous artists including Sergent Garcia, Alpha Blondy, Tony Allen, Aznavour, Bernard Lavilliers, Oxmo Puccino, Jacques Higelin and Barbara Carlotti (album Magnétique).

In 2005, Fabrice creates the group « Chut ! », imposing a style between sensual jazz and level groove.
