Fabrice Martinez

Fabrice Martinez feels at home no matter the music, whether it’s improvised, classic, modern or traditional. Fabrice quickly became a leader and a solist in various ensembles. As of today, he plays with Olivier Benoit’s Orchestre National de Jazz, Fred Pallem & Le Sacre du Tympan, Seven Songs de Marc Ducret (Metatonal, Ayler Records), Daniel Humair Quartet, the ensemble ArchiMusic (album Le rêve de Nietzsche, élu Citizen Jazz, september 2013), Claude Tchamitchian’s Le Grand Lousadzac, Thomas de Pourquery’s Supersonic (Victoires de la musique, best Jazz album 2014), the Andy Emler’s Méga-octet (Choc Jazzman, album Présences d'esprits, september 2014), etc.

Fabrice Martinez played and recorded with numerous artists including Sergent Garcia, Alpha Blondy, Tony Allen, Aznavour, Bernard Lavilliers, Lou Doillon, Oxmo Puccino and Jacques Higelin.

In 2005, Fabrice creates the group « Chut ! », imposing a style between sensual jazz and level groove.
